ASBPE Chapter Forms in the Pacific Northwest

Feb. 2, 2004 — Our newest ASBPE chapter has been formed by editors from business publications throughout the Pacific Northwest. The officers for the chapter are:

  • President Warren Payne, editorial director, RealTime Magazine, Intermec
    Technologies, Seattle;

  • Vice President/Oregon Eliza Selig, communications manager, The Bottomline, Hospital Financial & Technical Professionals, Portland; and

  • Vice President/Washington Jayanthi Gopalakrishnan, editor, Technical Analysis of Stocks & Commodities, Technical Analysis, Inc., Seattle.

At-large board members are Jim Black, managing editor, Good Fruit Grower in Yakima, and Cathy Spencer, contributing editor, RealTime Magazine,
Intermec Technologies, Seattle.

“The Pacific Northwest has a diverse publishing industry, both geographically and in terms of the focus of the publications,” says Payne. “With our chapter of the ASBPE, we’re hoping to form a much tighter community to share ideas and promote the region as a vital publishing center.”

The chapter’s first meeting will be in the latter half of the first quarter. Topic and location will be announced later.
