St. Petersburg, Fla. – The American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) has opened registration for its 2017 Annual Conference & National Azbee Awards of Excellence Banquet to be held May 17-18, 2017, in St. Petersburg, Fla.
The Business-to-Business Media Success Conference brings together expert teachers and industry leaders to explore the strategies and techniques that spell success for B2B publications.
The conference includes a keynote presentation on audience engagement by Katie Hawkins-Gaar, Digital Innovation Faculty, The Poynter Institute, as well as an interactive workshop by Roy Peter Clark, Senior Scholar Emeritus, The Poynter Institute, and author of How to Write Short: Word Craft for Fast Times.
The 2017 Azbee Awards of Excellence Banquet, which will take place during the conference on May 18th, honors the 2017 national winners of ASBPE’s Azbee Awards of Excellence program. The awards program is one of the most competitive there is for business-to-business, trade, association, and professional publications. The awards recognize outstanding work by magazines, newsletters, and digital media — Web sites, e-newsletters, digital magazines, and blogs.
Early bird registration is now open. Both ASBPE members and nonmembers can save $100 by registering by April 18.
Founded in 1964 as the American Society of Business Press Editors, ASBPE is the professional association for full-time and freelance editors, writers, art directors, and designers employed in the business, trade, and specialty press. The official name was changed to the American Society of Business Publication Editors in 1997 and to ASBPE in 2012. Membership is free for qualified B2B professionals.
