Jim-LucyJim Lucy is the Chief Editor of Electrical Wholesaling magazine at Penton Media, where he has worked for more than 30 years. He has written hundreds of articles for on topics such as energy-efficient lighting, sale opportunities in the solar market, succession planning, and the fastest-growing metros in the U.S. He published his first book, “The Electrical Marketer’s Survival Guide,” in 1999, and more recently has been entertaining himself by building a new subscription-based data product that will provide the electrical market with electrical sales potential and related economic data on the local, county and state level.

He has a master’s degree in Communications and a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University), Glassboro, N.J. Jim and his wife, Barbara, are the proud parents of three sons and are happily transplanted to the Kansas City area after moving to KC from New Jersey in 1992.
